At Millgate School, English is a subject which enables students to engage in a fictional world and be taken to different places.and learn about different cultures and alternative experiences.  It allows students to use language in varied ways to create their own magical people and places.

English also opens up the real world to students to enrich their understanding of society and world events - both past and present.  It gives students a chance to express their own views and opinions in a safe and structured way.
