Welcome to the Eco-Council of the Millgate Eco-Warriors.

Our goal is to create a more environmentally friendly Millgate School, where children appreciate the natural world and act responsibly towards the environment. To achieve this, we have selected a team and developed an agenda for this academic year. Our Eco Council meets once every half-term to discuss three topics and take actions related to them. Our aim is also to raise awareness of green issues within the school. This year, we have chosen school grounds, healthy living and waste.

This academic year Millgate School is working towards applying for Eco School Green Flag accreditation which recognises, rewards and celebrates the environmental achievements of our students. 

Eco-Schools is an international accreditation designed to be pupil-led and help schools to showcase their environmental work. Simple, seven-step programme running across an academic year. Schools choose at least three of the ten topics to work on.  Operate in 80 countries.  Keep Britain Tidy run the award in England.
