KS2 Results
Millgate primary curriculum enables children to make the best possible academic progress within a safe and caring environment. Children in Year 6 will, where appropriate, take their KS2 SATs. These tests are designed to show their progress and act as a stepping stone for the remainder of their journey at Millgate School.
There is no official data available for this measure. This is for the following reason:
"Suppressed: in certain circumstances we will suppress an establishment's data. This is usually when there are 5 or fewer pupils or students covered by the measure (29 for apprenticeships measures). We avoid making these figures public to protect individual privacy. We may also suppress data on a case-by-case basis." Gov.UK webpage for Millgate School
All of our four Year 6 children took their KS2 SATs. The scaled score for a pass is set at 100 and the minimum scaled score is 80. This means that all of our children were working within the required range for KS2. This alone is an amazing achievement and one that we are proud of as a department.
Reading saw our best results with an average scaled score of 96. This highlights great progress in reading and all students excelled in this area. This is an area that we take great pride in.
We scored an average scaled score of 91 in grammar, punctuation and spelling.
Maths was our lowest average score at 89. This is an area that we have already identified for development. We have bought in 'Maths: No Problem!' to boost our maths curriculum and transform the delivery of maths. We are confident that our results in 2019 will reflect this change.
